Especially in connection to Thanksgiving travel, the phrase "almost home" brings an excited annoyance and an eager expectation - and that's not inherently wrong . . . especially when we understand the blessings of the destination.
Even more in connection to eternity with our King, that same phrase rings on our hearts to refresh us in where we're heading, to strengthen us along the way, and to keep on our hearts the glad reality that - soon, saints, soon! - we'll see our Savior triumphant and we'll do so as his saints triumphant!
