Cold season is upon us.  And, truth be told, while there's nothing we can do about it, there's also tons we can do about it.  But, even in it, let's realize this: germs are everywhere and the extermination of the bad ones is vital for physical health.

Jesus talks about germs too - spiritual germs.  He calls them sins.  But unlike the "good ones," he hates sins - each of them, all of them - and considers us purely gross in them.  But, in love undeserved, he also died to forgive sins - each of them, all of them - and that's purely gracious.

That's also the good news of the gospel in which our hearts get to be cleansed and rejoice; it's also the truth we were blessed to ponder as we rallied to his cross once again!
